Best of McLaren Vale Tour

This tour is all about showcasing the best that McLaren Vale has to offer.

Upon arriving in the gorgeous beach-side suburb of Moana, you will be greeted by the sound and scent of the ocean. You will then do a crash course (bad choice of words I know) in how to ride an electric bike. We will then take a scenic and leisurely ride to McLaren Vale where you will visit a range of awesome wineries/distilleries and breweries (itinerary is 100% negotiable).

  • 8:40 am: Meet at 41 Third Ave Moana for group debrief. If you’d prefer not to make your own way to Moana (very easy by train*), I can organise transportation if given 48-hours notice.**
  • 9:00 am: Ride to McLaren Vale on E-bikes.
  • 10:00 am: Coffee stop in McLaren Vale.
  • 11:00 am: Wine tasting at d’Arenberg Winery (negotiable) – The Cube ($15 entry). E-bikes stored on trailer so no one loses their drivers licence! Tour proceeds on mini bus.
  • 12:30 pm: Beer tasting and lunch at Swell Brewery (totally negotiable).
  • 1:45 pm: Wine tasting (let’s choose 2 or 3 places together).
  • 4:00 pm: Tour ends.
  • 4:15 pm: Driven back to central location. Mixed groups dropped off at McDonalds’ Carpark at 20 West Terrace, Adelaide. Large single groups can negotiate drop off if within an hours’ drive from Moana.

*If catching train from Adelaide: Catch Seaford train from Adelaide Train Station to Seaford Train Station – last stop. House is 10 minutes’ walk from station. At time of writing, the train left Adelaide Station at 7:30am and arrived at Seaford at 8:22am. Please check or contact me for updated schedule. I can drop you off at Seaford Station or at a central location in Adelaide at the end of the tour.

**Price for transport would be dependent on group size and from the location of pick-up (the more people the cheaper). Mixed groups meet at McDonalds’ Carpark at 20 West Terrace, Adelaide at 7:30am, to leave NO LATER than 7:45 am. Large single groups can negotiate location and time. Money for transportation would need to be paid in cash at debrief.
